It turns out that Cobweb has a kidney infection, so the vet gave her an injection of antibiotics, and now we get to experience the adventure that is giving your cat daily subcutaneous fluids at home! - woke early, because the gutter folk were coming this morning. They did show up, and we now have clean gutters, and I am deliriously happy about it. The head gutter guy told me that the gutter along the front of our roof was "like a planter," with all kinds of stuff growing in it. Oops!

Apparently, there was a 4.1 magnitude earthquake near San Jose (about 45 miles away) this afternoon, but I didn't feel it at all. Like the socially responsible gal that I am, I got a flu shot yesterday. Unfortunately, most vaccinations, including flu shots, are made with egg. You know ... egg ... that stuff that makes me sick? Read about a third of Carlos Ruiz Zafón's The Shadow of the Wind while fighting sleep. The book is amazing. I want to read it all the all the all the time. Maybe for the rest of my life. Cobweb hasn't been feeling well this evening. She's having vomit and poop problems and seems very unhappy. We're figuring we'll take her to the vet tomorrow, unless she seems to have complete recovered in the morning. I'm worried about her.
