Cobweb hasn't been feeling well this evening. She's having vomit and poop problems and seems very unhappy. We're figuring we'll take her to the vet tomorrow, unless she seems to have complete recovered in the morning. I'm worried about her. Shannon has been rather obsessively following her around and petting her and talking to her. If I were feeling that unwell, I probably wouldn't want someone bugging me, so I project that onto her and mostly only visit her when she comes to me of her own accord.
Today I did some shopping and unwisely carried a 20-lb box of cat litter a few miles in my backpack. It was on sale! But I won't do that again, because my back is still hurting, even several hours later and after I took pain relievers. I'd rather get a less exciting deal on a *smaller* container of cat litter and carry it a *shorter* distance. But this was just one of many examples of me not recognizing my own limits. It's something I work on.
I also stopped by the Claremont branch of the Berkeley Public Library, looking for a book by Carlos Ruiz Zafón. I looked it up in advance on their online catalog (since I would be walking a couple miles to get there), and it was supposed to be there, but neither I nor the librarian could find it on the shelf. Doh! This is often my experience with the BPL system.
I spent most of the early part of the day sleeping and sleeping and sleeping, with short breaks for meals.
