It turns out that Cobweb has a kidney infection, so the vet gave her an injection of antibiotics, and now we get to experience the adventure that is giving your cat daily subcutaneous fluids at home! Poor Cobweb! The subq fluids will definitely be a challenge - just do the best you can. Warning - if you have a fail experience with the needle, wait ten minutes before trying again so the first needle hole can seal itself. If you try again immediately, the fluid going in will escape through the "fail" hole and you'll end up with a damp on the outside cat instead of a hydrated on the inside one. Make sure you're wearing thick clothing so if she gets hold of you with claws you have some protection!
