End of the Year
Since it is the last day of 2007 (and I realized that I have not posted literally in months), I figured I should say something. Associate Registrar....and other news
A lot has been going on lately, some good and some bad. The good news is that I just got a promotion! I am now the Associate Registrar of Baker University's School of Professional and Graduate Studies :) I was surprised, since I didn't meet ANY of the requirements, but very pleased. I have a computer again
We have had a broken monitor for the past several days, so I have not had any access to LJ (we finally managed to get an old one from Daddy after work today). New car?
So Chris and I have decided to get a new car in the near future....most likely a Subaru Outback. Why, you ask? Well, as everyone reading this probably knows, Chris and I are both very much planners. My apologies once again for my laziness in writing! Things are going well for me at my job - last week I was actually given a promotion (even though I'm not yet at my 90 day mark). I am now the Electronic Records Specialist - which, ironically enough, was the position I originally applied for with Baker. The pay is just a couple thousand more a ( Read more... ) -

First day of work
I had my first day at Baker University today :) Everyone was really nice, and my boss took me to Mimi's Cafe for lunch which was really cool. I'm going to be training for a couple of days I guess, but I don't think my job will be too difficult. Today we worked on transcripts - how to process requests, send them out, etc. I think that'll be a ( Read more... ) -
Good nose Ginkgo
Chris just took Ginkgo out in the backyard this morning, and she coincidentally sniffed out something interesting....Daniel's glasses! They have been lost in our backyard since our Halloween party, lol. We have a kind of pipe-hole in the back where I'm guessing a laundry pole or something used to stick up, and they were inside of it ( Read more... ) -
New Job
I went to a job interview last Thursday, and today I got a call back with a job offer :) It pays about the same as my current job, but it will be a lot more stable, and should have more opportunities for advancement. I will be an Academic Records Assistant in the registrar's office of Baker University. I will put in my 2 weeks notice (argh) at ( Read more... )
