Five Things Make A Post
Today was my last day at Old!Job - I start on Monday at New!Job. So far, I am totally impressed by my new co-workers and their apparent fabulosity and the dealings I have had with them. According to Goodreads, I read 107 books in 2012. That is actually considerably less than previous years, which were all above 160. I don't think I read any less - I think I've just gotten pickier (or, OMG, the books have gotten worse?), so I guess I should amend that to:
"I FINISHED 107 books in 2012."

So, I had a birthday, and now I am 40, and that's that. I spent a lot of time this week reflecting on the past decade and how much my life has changed: 10 years ago, I lived in a different place, and had a different job and career path, and didn't have a kid yet - really, the major constant in my daily life from then until now is galagan. We talked yesterday, and I made sure to emphasize that it is extremely unlikely that something like this could ever happen to her, and that her school is very safe, and if she has questions, to ask us or her teacher.
