today i'm watching a program about a woman who's boyfriend shot and killed her mother and then shot her in the temple, blowing off most of her face. he thought that she was cheating on him. she survived, but all of her face except her lower jaw and her left eye were gone. the show is all about her surgeries to reconstruct her face.
