feeling so blessed
today i'm watching a program about a woman who's boyfriend shot and killed her mother and then shot her in the temple, blowing off most of her face. he thought that she was cheating on him. she survived, but all of her face except her lower jaw and her left eye were gone. the show is all about her surgeries to reconstruct her face. There's also a lot of focus on her work to fight domestic violence. watching this just makes me feel so lucky. so many women end up with men that they convince themselves are all they deserve even though they are complete bastards... and i have this amazing husband who not only loves, respects, and takes care of me normally, but who has totally stepped up while i've been pregnant to support me and take care of me more than i could have ever hoped. i am damn lucky!
