Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4 Chapter 5 Chapter 6 Chapter 7 “Okay, this is pretty weird.” Greg commented and leaned his elbows against
Nick’s kitchen table, enjoying the first cup of coffee that morning.
“What is weird?”
“The fact that this is my first trip to Las Vegas and I’m moving in with a
guy I’ve known for about two months.”
Nick grinned. “Maybe you’re just so quick to persuade.”
“Are you saying I’m easy?”
“Well, we’re both guys, so easy is really our thing, isn’t it?”
“That’s true.” Greg giggled. “So, what are we waiting for?”
“Warrick. I told him we would wait for him before we start dragging the heavy
stuff from the truck.”
“Are you saying I lack muscular strength?”
“I’m just saying I want to be sure we have enough man power.”
“You’ve never had any complaints about my man-ish powers.”
“That’s different. I have very high respect for your man powers. Just not
when we have company.”
“I could show some of them before your buddy gets here…”
“We have no bed, and your double is still in the truck.”
“When did I say anything about bed?” Greg wiggled his eyebrows. Somewhere
in the background they could hear the doorbell ringing.
“You didn’t, but I did. I’m too old to start making out against the cupboard.”
“You’re not that old, and you’re surprisingly bendy.”
“Thanks.” Nick blushed and walked to the front door to let Warrick in.
“Hey, man. I saw the truck outside. Is that all his?”
“Yep.”
“And you’re gonna shove it all in here?”
“Yep.”
“This will be interesting… So, where’s your prettier half?”
“In the kitchen.”
Warrick walked to the kitchen and looked at Greg. Greg looked at him and
took a calm sip from his mug.
“So, you’re Sanders.”
“And you’re Warrick. I’ve met you before.” Greg smirked.`
“You have?”
“Well, more like heard you before. You’re the one who came looking for
Nicky, when we were on the phone, enjoying the few perks of a long distance
affair.”
“I have no idea what you’re-” Suddenly realization hit. “You mean when he
had locked himself to the supply closet…”
“I should be mad at you.” Greg drank the last of his coffee. “It was getting pretty
hot, and then you come banging. Banging the door, I mean.”
Warrick gave him a long look. “You just waited for me to come here, so you could
tell me that story.”
“Oh yeah…” Greg confirmed.
Nick was listening to their discussion and his eyes were now bright red.
“Okay, let’s just start with your stuff, okay?”
“Don’t you wanna talk about-” Greg started.
“Not now.”
-------------------------------------------------------
“Okay, that was the last one.” Warrick panted and eyed the overstuffed couch
they had placed in the living room. “I gotta get going.”
“Thanks for help.” Nick answered and slumped down on the couch.
“And buddy…”
“What?”
“Good luck.” Warrick paused. “With him, you’re gonna need it.”
“Hey!”
“I’m just saying… You’re the older guy, your getting closer to that dangerous
heart attack age…”
“I’m not that old! And he’s not that young! You’re older than me remember?”
“Yeah, but I don’t need to keep that kid satisfied.”
“Thanks for your trust in me. And I have no problem keeping him satisfied!”
“We’ll see…” Warrick grinned and left.
“That was interesting…” Greg peaked from the kitchen. “You really think I
can’t hump you to the ER?”
“You probably could, but you don’t want to.”
“I don’t?”
“No, that would mean that you`ll spend your nights alone while I’m
recuperating.”
“I could climb to your hospital bed and keep you company.”
“And get me kicked out of the hospital?”
“There’s always possibilities.”
“What kind of possibilities?”
“My bed is in your bedroom, how much more do I need to say?” Greg pushed Nick
backwards till he fell down to the bed. “And I told you my double bed would be
nicer!”
“There was nothing wrong with my old bed.”
“Except, that it was a single bed! There’s no room to roam and play.”
“Roam and play?”
“Don’t worry, I’ll show you.” Greg grinned and tackled him to the mattress.
