“Don?”

Flack got up from his chair and backed away to the door, keeping his eyes on Hawkes. Nick kept his voice low, even thought the hallway was empty.
“He’s not going anywhere you know.”
“Yeah, but his still not awake.”
“It wasn’t that long ago that he got out of surgery.” Nick commented. “You got to give him time.”
“I know.” Don gave him a quick glance. “I’m sorry about Danny.”

“What about Danny?”
“Didn’t you see him? He was here couple hours ago. I thought he came to see Greg.”
“No, Warrick stopped by, but I haven’t seen Danny. And why are you sorry?”
“We… we agreed to stay just friends.”
“Not your type?”
“No, that wasn’t it. Another time and we’d probably been really good, but…”
“Circumstances?”
“Yeah. Circumstances.”

-----------------------------------------------

For the sixteenth time within the last twenty minutes Danny thanked faith that Warrick`s car had tinted windows. The backseat was pretty cramped and his head banged on the ceiling on steady intervals, but the franticness of the act made it all the more exiting. He grabbed the man’s shoulders and threw his head back. Warrick was moaning uninhibitedly, pounding into the man straddling him. Danny exploded between their bodies, ruining both of their shirts.

Warrick`s moans turned deeper and his moves hastier. His body jerked and he came.

Both men were still for a minute, both waiting for the other to say something. Finally Danny got up from Warrick`s lap, wincing a bit as the flaccid cock slid out of him. He grabbed his jeans from the floor and pulled them on. He didn’t look at the other man till he was fully clothed again.

“I need to go, I…” He stopped when he saw the look on Warrick`s face. The man was staring down his own shirt, touching the wet, sticky stains with the tips of his fingers. He looked absolutely stunned.

“I’ll… See you around.” Danny opened the door and got out of the car, closing the door before bystanders could see Warrick with his pants around his ankles.

-----------------------------------------------

“Eric?”

“Yeah?”
“Do you mind explaining me why you left that on my nightstand?” Ryan asked sleepily. “And take that away.”
“I thought the smell would help you relax. Pine detergent always calms you down.”
“Cleaning calms me down, not the detergent. And you can’t leave an open bottle next to my head when I’m sleeping! That stuff can cause brain damage or something!”

“Sorry, I didn’t think.” Eric twirled the cap back on the plastic bottle. He was close to a full-on panic. “How are you feeling? Achy? Dizzy? Do I need to call an ambulance?”

“Achy, but it has nothing to do with that stuff, I’m fine. Come here.” He pulled Eric onto the bed and opened the nightstand drawer. Eric’s eyes went wide.
“Babe? I swear I meant to throw those away.”

“Really?” Ryan tangled the fur lined handcuffs in front of him. “I told you I don’t want to try these, but I changed my mind. Hands up.”

Eric obeyed with a wide grin on his face and Ryan cuffed him to the end of the bed.
“What do you wanna do now?”

“Sleep.” Ryan settled back against his pillow. “I just wanted to make sure you don’t get any more weird ideas while I’m asleep.”

-----------------------------------------------

“Hey, man.” Danny walked into Greg’s hospital room. “Is he…?”

“Asleep.” Nick got up from his chair and lowered his voice. “Did you get lost or something?”
“Why do you ask?”
“Don said you came here couple hours ago.”
“Yeah, I… I told him we should call it quits. As much as possible after just one date.”
“Because of Hawkes?”
“It’s hard enough to compete with the ex, but when he’s laying in hospital, it’s impossible. Who knows, maybe we’ll end up being the best of buddies.”

“I guess it’s better to make the move now before it gets anywhere.”
“Yeah.” Danny sighed. “Doing the right thing is a great feeling, but ten minutes later… you just wanna get totally drunk.”
“You went drinking?”
“Nah, I got a cup of coffee in the cafeteria.”
“Why do I get the feeling you’re leaving something out?”

“You want the short version or the long version?”
“Short.”
“I ran into a friend of yours.”
“Long.”
“I ran into a friend of yours, I was bummed, he just had rendezvous with a bitchy "to-be-or-not-to-be" ex, and we ended up fucking in the backseat of his car.”
“You went to get a cup of coffee and you…?”
“Yeah.”
“Who are we talking about here? Most of the guys I know are here in the hospital right now!”

“Tall one, green eyes, low voice-”
“Warrick?”
“Yeah.”
“I didn’t know you knew him.”
“I don’t know him.” Danny gave him an embarrassed smirk. “That was the first time we met.”
“I didn’t even know he went that way…”
“He doesn’t. I had to coach him through the preliminaries to get to the actual deed.”
“Yeah, but…” Nick rubbed his temples. “People get killed and dozens of people are in the hospital and you lure my co-star to the backseat for a quickie?”

“Not exactly my sanest moment.” Danny admitted. “I can’t deal with hospitals, I have a phobia!”
“You have a phobia that makes you jump onto a backseat with a total stranger?”
“I haven’t had sex for three months, sorry if my resistance is low. And I have a childhood trauma that caused my phobia.”

“Childhood trauma that makes you-”
“Stop repeating that! Think what you want, but I don’t normally have sex with supposedly straight players on a five minute notice, so stop repeating the word "backseat". You make me sound easy.”

“You are easy.”
“Yeah, but I’m easy with style. Do you wanna hear about my trauma or not?”
“Tell me.”
“When I was seven, my aunt went into a hospital for an operation. My mom went to visit her and took me with her.”
“Did she die?”
“Who?”
“Your aunt.”
“No, she’s alive. Why would she be dead?”
“You said you had a trauma, I assumed-”

“No, nothing like that! When went to her room, I found out what kind of surgery she had.” He leaned closer and lowered his voice. “Her face.”
“How is that traumatising?”
“They had just taken of the bandages and she looked like someone had butchered her face. I screamed so loud all the nurses came to see what was going on.”

“Okay, I can understand how that might upset a kid.” Nick agreed.
“That was just the first shock. I ran out of there and I… I accidentally opened the next door.”
“Accidentally?”
“I was panicking! A little kid trying to find the way out. There was this old lady, probably in her seventies.”
“Doesn’t sound too scary.”
“She just had her boobs re-stuffed. Nurse was giving her a sponge bath.”
“That’s…”
“Yeah, I didn’t know what to say either. I just screamed and threw up. Since then I`ve been horrifed of all hospitals.”
