Last time in The Fauna Round Robin: Liam ( niloublue ) rejected Dora Ottomas outright; Zebra ( kingmike1224 ) fell out of love with Liam; the triplets, Pangolin, Moose & Squid, became teenagers; Zebra and Liam fell back INTO love, got engaged and then subsequently married in a very touching family ceremony; Minnow the Mini-Dalmation moved in and ate everyone's homework; Manatee hit adulthood with a Zebra-reminiscent bang; Moose started dating Ginger Newson I; And, finally, Zebra died peacefully of old age, filling up on cocktails...
Picking up RIGHT where we left of - hula dancing death knells and all - we come to see that Zebra was still holding an expensive torch for at least six of her ex-lovers...
Yeah, Thanks SimCity Insurance. I really REALLY don't think their loss is at all eased...

Immeadiately after Zebra's passing, her children tried to kill themselves,
by consuming large quantities of radioactively rotten food.
Well, all but Manatee, who decided to instead to suggest a more direct approach to grief alleviation.
I actually wrestled with doing this, even though she died a happy, natural death. Her time again with Liam was just SO short and bittersweet. But I decided, after some consultation with like-minded simfolk, that I'd leave her be. I mean, she's at a never ending kegger in the afterlife, right? Why take her away from that?
Unfortunately it DID mean that I had to deal with her children and their heartbreak induced moodswings:
Squid: WTF, LEADER OF THE PACK?! You may be my ~~BEST FRIEND~~ but its day time. Have some respect for your genre and GET OFF MY LOT!
Manatee, on the other hand. She decided to deal with her feelings by honouring her mother's legacy in as many ways and in as many sims as possible.
Starting with this elderly sous-chef, a game-generated Tullia Paquette.
Who became the target - and gateway lips - for Manatee's first kiss.
I don't know about you, but something about this screenshot sets me eerily on edge... Its vaguely, sinister, don't you agree?
While Manatee started doing her best to female-equivalent oat-sow, Pangolin's grief manifested itself in a rage so great he chopped his own eyelids off.
Oh, wait, no, my bad, they're still there.
Enraged to a heightened state - perhaps that he didn't think of that at the time, - he went in search of prospective casualties for his delicately manicured FISTS OF FURY..!!
Exhibit A: I submit to you that have zero idea what Tarsus Phantom/Magicakes ( telectroscope) did to deserve this, bar be in Pangolin's house.
But he really felt the full force of Pangolin's lashing out.

Pangolin: YEAH YOU'RE BRUISED!
Pangolin: BUT NOT NEARLY ENOUGH, YET..!
Yeaaaaah... So his day's gone like this:
1. His Mum dies, peacefully: "Mother! I loved you well, rest easy off the mortal coil..."
2. He recieves his inheritence from his Mum's estate: "A windfall! Such riches yet I cannot enjoy them as they remind me of such sorrow."
3. He meets his brother's school chum for the very first time: "Top of the morning to you' Guvnor! *excited*"
4. "I WILL NOW BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF YOU, TAKE IT ALLLLL, BITCH!"
And people say sims never grieve!
Meanwhile...
Manatee shows she's seriously commited to getting some old lady nookie. Mayhap she reminds her a little of her mum?
Moose: THAT'S GROSS!
Yeah, Manatee definitely does NOT agree.

Ah. HARDLY.
My favourite part is how their elaborate hair styles managed to stay PERFECT. That and Tallia's 'missing' hand and the expressions they're both giving each other...
Squid, resting in the room adjacent, manages to sleep through the whole marathonic escapade. remind of of any fathers he may have? ;) xD
Lawds that old lady got STAMINA! They went at it without sleeping from late afternoon till well into the next day.
As Tallia wandered home, Evelyn the Atrociously Evil Witch tagged her and waltzed into the house. So I thought, why the HELL not?!
Manatee: YEAH! I'm evil!
Well, you're just a little bad-tempered at this point, but okay dear. *pats*
Besides, it really made Manatee IMMENSELY pleasure-filled. As did copping a feel of Evelyn's taught witch arse.
I know you're used to me taking shots of this meaning HOT!NOOKIE!TIMES, but this is really not what you think it is.

Two days after the passing of his wife, having done nothing but sleep and pine for Zebra,
Liam himself decided to shuffle off the coil.
Although he wasn't going without a few deals, and assurances from Grim,
That he'd definitely be reunited with Zebra after death.
(That's a GREAT state of denial Pangolin's gone into back there, neh?)
Rest together, in happiness but perhaps not peace ;) my lovelies.

Both parents having passed on, and me standing in her way of ressurecting them the 'easy' way with their mother's death-phone, Manatee went HARD on a whole lot of levels for the occult.
The allure of which enthralled her siblings.
Well, at least until they caught a whiff of it.
Chameleon, you may have noticed, has been not a lot featured in this update. Its because THIS is what she did most of her time. And I found it too heartbreaking to constantly document her moving but constant grief over the loss of her parents.
It was beautiful, yet tragic.
Not that Manatee really noticed.
She'd just become MUCH too addicted to the glow.
And the burn...
And then, one night, Liam appeared to Chameleon like an amateur ghost!jester in one of her favourite places to grieve. And suddenly she was RIGHT out of her funk.
Proof of life after death, especially of the ancestral kind. Always brings cheer to the knowledge sims. Though I wonder, surely if all the big questions were answered for them, would they not go mad?
Well, okay, Chameleon's eyes suggest she has already, but... *rambles*
While Chameleon's personal life-aspirations were being topped up, Manatee was getting topped off...
Albeit in a rather awkwardly smothering fashion.
After this this point - as delightful and varied as Manatee's tastes are - I wasn't worrying about screenshotting most of Manatee's conquests. It seemed like she had a nose for finding every virginal lesbian in town and deflowering them.
In exchange for their apparently unwavering devotion.
Squid, oh, sweet, innocent, well-meaning Squid. He apparently learned some moves from his elder sister, which worried me a little at first that he was going to follow in her & his mother's footsteps right down the letter.
But, having found himself Ginger Newson II, he instead opted to go steady with her.
Charming the pants still ON her with some seriously endearing boyish uncertainty.
Pangolin, however.
He decided no women in the 'hood were worth his time. Preferring, insted to threaten, harass...
...And generally confuse the hell out of his sister's ant farm.
Speaking of being threatenly confusing... Its clear Manatee didn't care a jot what happened to her ants anymore. What with all her panty raiding, and diabolical witchery at twenty thousand leagues.
Manatee: OH MINNOW! GET HELP! THERE'S NO OXYGEN IN THIS THING!
Manatee: Tell... My... Girl... Friendsss...ss...s... I.. Love.... Them...
Minnow: *sniff*
Manatee: Haha, just kidding, Minnow. How awkward would THOSE conversations be?
