Back from maternity leave.

Worked at home today. No special reason - it wasn't like I felt wrecked or anything (at least not more than normal - whine, whine). But there was nothing that I needed to go in for. And I would have had to take the bus to work, which is never fun ( Read more... )

Today I woke up and checked my work email. Complete peace...no, better than that - everything was back to normal now and running smoothly after the past two days of badness. I had no meetings & I knew I didn't need to be onsite for any other reason. So... WORK FROM HOME DAY - WOO ( Read more... )

Update on things

Some of my coworkers dropped a baby present on my desk this AM: *squee*!

Best of all, it's something I can actually use (a bouncy seat). I think I'll have a bad case of the warm and fuzzies all day. :-)

My new work laptop is now functional. I can access the major things I use at work from home now. I think it's even faster than my desktop computer. Sweeeeet.
No doubt I'll be finding out its foibles & needing to install programs as I go, but whatEVAH. *happy dances*

I just received my brand-spanking-new work laptop today! Happy dances!
Now I won't be the only kid at the meetings without one. And, DUDE, it's a Dell! A very large one with a pretty big screen. Woo hoo!
Now, to get the IT crew to set it up... *taps fingers impatiently*
