I had my 16 week appointment today (hello, 4 months!) and my midwife was once again in a good mood! :)

She let us take a sneak peek at baby and I told her if she could see the sex, to let us know.

The news that we're expecting created tremendous amounts of happy messages, emails and phone calls. It was truly something joyous.

I'll have to admit that there were a few "Finally! It was about time!" thrown in the mix that weren't really appreciated. Mostly from family.

The newest love of my life is now 3" big with a heart beat of 150bpm. My midwife was in such a good mood that she said "let's take a peek at baby and see how it's doing" and just then, we caught the little one sucking its thumb.  Lately, I have been kind of homesick.

I don't know if that makes sense, but hear me out.

I like my neighborhood.
I like the size of our apartment. 
I like our big back yard.
I like that it takes me 15 minutes to get to work.
I like that it's so close to A LOT of things.
