Animals

If people were to ask me, as a woman, where my favorite place to shop is, I'd say a pet store.

I don't care about owning the latest handbag, the hottest shoes or the trendiest threads. I would not run to the jewelry store or an accessory store. If I was rich, I'd spend it all on animals.

You know those clichès about the man calling his wife, asking her where she is and her nervously trying to cover up that she's NOT at the mall? Mine is the pet store. I live at Petco. It's rather dangerous really, because every time I am there, I have to convince myself that we don't need anymore pets. The worst part? My husband is an animal lover. This is a dangerous combination, especially if we're BOTH at the pet store together. Yesterday we came home with a 10 gallon fish tank, a filter, fish food, and a bunch of accessories. I know, I know. It's not that big of a deal, but I start thinking about it and we have the dog, the cat, the bunny, the beta and now, a 10 gallon fish tank for 4  NEW fishes.

Our cart was full of pet supplies already for bunny, dog and cat when we grabbed all the fish stuff. Then I headed over to the bird section. Kill me, because I wanted to bring home a bird so badly. We also always check out the hamsters and mice. The good thing is that I'm afraid of having too many animals for my allergies, so it'll stay at what we have for now. I can't promise we won't have a small farm when we finally own our own home. I am sure it'll be a zoo. I really want chickens so I can have fresh eggs.

Wanting all these animals further convinces me that I need to live in the country with lots of land.

I can dream, right?

zoo, pets, animals
