DORKAGE: House 4x05 Mirror, Mirror

Oct 31, 2007 22:41

Oh MAN, I am SO GLAD I took the half-day off from work today, which means I could grab the latest House episode much earlier than I normally would. It's not even 11pm and I'm all ready with caps for the IMMENSE AMOUNT OF SQUEE-AGE THAT WILL ENSUE. I swear, if you're a House/Cuddy shipper? There's just so so so MUCH in this episode to chew over and ( Read more... )

OH MY GOD. I was vaguely calm at last, until reading this, now I'm in suqealing dork mode again! I can't even form coherent setences. HOLY FUCKING COW. The anvils are back, and I'm oh so happy. This ep had so many shippy possibilities, all good for us. :D I'm totally going with the theory that they're getting naughty on the sly, because we may not be right with that, but after this ep no one can say we're wrong either LOL. I LOVE IT!!!!!!! It's all TEXT-Y and the closest we've had to canon-ER validation for a long time. Can't even pick out a favourite bit because it's all so FABULOUS. I am one happy, happy shipper right now. ♥

I did a fangirl-y ramble on my LJ if you want to look. Be warned, it's rambling and makes no sense. My brain is officially mush!

*skips off grinning*

Hee, I swear this episode just makes me want to dance! Thinking of it kept me going through a typically grueling work-day, I'll tell ya!! ;) I don't know HOW you can keep calm and resist downloading episodes when there's so much H/C goodness going down! But yes. TEXTY. CANON-ER. OMG. And to think we weren't expecting anything THAT much from the episode. This gives me hope for next week, when Cuddy doesn't feature in the promo. Gah. I really want the newbies to be whittled down quickly so we can get down to the REAL stuff i.e., House and Cuddy getting it on!!

Will head to your LJ once I'm done fangirling this episode with all the folks here...! ;)

I didn't really buy that Wilson's the alpha in the H/W relationship, but I did love him taunting House. And I loved that Wilson read the journal article about patients mirroring alphas (and knowing House would know this ( ... )

I totally didn't buy the Wilson-as-alpha-male thing; in fact, I agree with House - that, in the context, with Wilson being all surgeony, POTW would naturally assume Wilson was in charge. I just liked the banter, because it was too cute with the laundry and the Defensive!House. I adore it when House gets defensive and flustered, don't ask me why ( ... )

Definitely on the same page about the Wilson/alpha thing. The exchange was fun, but House was most likely accurate in his reasoning. And I love defensive!House, too -- similar to how he was when Foreman wasn't playing along and was smiling; it was basically a, "well, you're stupid, so whatever!" But the, "You'd pick up my laundry" comment was funny because, hello... you'd PAY (and probably HAVE paid) for his, Wilson ( ... )

Hi, your icon is made of win > Cuddy's profile always rocks, because, hello, PRETTY. Throwing in Wilson is an added bonus. Yes indeed.

You're so right about Wilson paying for House's laundry. I can't believe he hasn't already done so, since he keeps buying House's lunch and giving him $5,000 checks just because they're best buddies. ;)

OF COURSE I don't mind if you lift the idea and make "Even Cuddy's gay for Cuddy" icons! Make a ton and share them, why don't you - there's always room for lots of Cuddy love! ;) And seriously. LE has shown the ability to turn gay guys temporarily straight and straight girls briefly gay. Now THAT'S hotness ( ... )

The meat of it -- I was patiently reading along! I was going to post some caps with my commentary, but then realized I didn't really have the time and energy to spend on that, and I knew you'd have the best scenes ( ... )

OMG, I LOVE when we fangirl H/C. Because, hee. There's so much to love! And everything you point out makes me love them more!! (BTW, your icon is ten thousand kinds of gorgeous, because, hello, TCA pics? PWNED MY SOUL when they were released.)

Good call on the 'one of'. Cuddy should definitely include her butt and legs as her best features too. Hell, throw it all in. She's that hot. ;)

I'm as torn as you are about whether I want the sneaky reveal (oh look, they've been schtupping since he turned up on her doorstep last season!) or the big explosion. I think I'd still prefer the latter, if we could get it - I want to see it happening (again) for the first time, and the circumstances that led up to it. For DEFINITE.

Okay. House can be 12. I still think he'd be an insanely smart 6-year-old though. The annoying kind who won't take no for an answer but whose questions you can't answer. ;)

OMG. It MUST BE CONDIMENTS. Because that's so much funnier! Now I have to go back and listen to that moment - AND IT IS CONDIMENTS, for sure! Hee! ( ... )

Our back-and-forth fangirling has only gotten me MORE excited about House (and Huddy, of course, but House and Huddy are kind of synonymous for us, no?). I think you're the only person right now who's as into dissecting everything with this much scrutiny as I've been trying to do as of late. And yessss, the TCA pics were beautiful. The keyword for that one is "can't stand it" because I almost cannot ( ... )

The mutual flailing is definitely something I've LOVING. It's great to find someone willing to talk House, Cuddy and House/Cuddy with me and who won't find me strange/insane/scary for being quite as invested in it as I am. Hey, everyone needs some form of escapism, right?! ;) I've been dissecting House by my lonesome for a while, so it's great to break out of my solitary funk and find likeminded souls happy to flail with me to our hearts' content ( ... )

HI! YOU ROCK FOR GETTING AS EXCITED AS I DO ABOUT H/C!!

Hee - I'm so glad we noticed all the same things. Because, seriously, this was an episode made of so so so much win for us. I swear, I spent most of the day wandering around with a dorky smile on my face thinking of House and his VICTORY DANCE. (Somehow, that always requires capitalisation. [g])

That's an interesting thing you point out about there being something different about House and Cuddy - you're right. I'm not sure what it is, either, and whether the writers are deliberately messing with us so they can do a big reveal, that they've been getting it on all this while. (I'd totally buy that, but would love to get to SEE them go at each other - again - for the first time!) But there's something different about the way they're interacting this season: like there's a lot more invested in the relationship, whether it's the personal or professional relationship. Does that make sense? Because there's just so much... more to the trust Cuddy exhibited in THE OR SCENE (also always ( ... )

VICTORY DANCE FTW. For serious - I can't get enough of this scene. Rewatching it probably means probably means that this section of my video will just wear itself out and explode in short order. BUT. VICTORY DANCE. *dies*

Oooh, a flashback episode to show how the H/C sexage started would ROCK. Heh. Actually, I'd just be happy to find out MORE about their backstory, dammit. There's so much mystery about their time in Michigan together, and the first (and I doubt only) time they did the nasty - I'd love to get more info on this even as they explore the relationship in real-time, on the show now.

I absolutely agree with you about the shift in their dynamic following the Tritter arc. Count me as one of those strange House fans who actually really enjoyed the Tritter arc - I know tons of people didn't, but I loved it as an exploration of how low he had sunk and was scarily willing to let himself sink after the ketamine treatment failed. And I thought the writers made his clawing his way back to his kind of wacky normalcy very real - and ( ... )
