Remember the Fancy Fish window I recently hung up in my bathroom window? My hometown in pewter….
I get one of these pewter ornaments every year from Jeanne. She was the loving companion for over 40 years of my father-in-law Harry. (They both lived in Franklin all their lives and Harry was the Chief of Police, then the Sherriff of Franklin until he retired.) I haven’t seen a Monarch in a while, so don’t know if this is a leftover from summer or one migrating through. In the garden we still have a few lantanas restarting or just hanging on and I guess it was enough to attract this beauty.
