I find there is still beauty to be found with those things on their way out of this world. I tire easily of those who think that purpose is over at a certain age.

After I took down my Christmas ornaments at the gallery, I hung some fused fish and other things on the tree display. This morning Debra and I took down the birdhouse display at the gallery and cleaned the window space for the November featured artist. The birdhouses that didn’t sell were moved and became a part of another display at the gallery. Hopefully more will sell during this next month ( Read more... )

I spent today first cleaning off the picnic table (which has become my outside work table) from all the potting of plants, then sanding and painting 10 new shadowboxes for my new gallery display. Lots of new stuff happening at the Island Gallery lately. I have made the decision to discontinue my larger glass things (panels, large mermaids, free forms, the Moravian Stars, etc.) that hang in the window across the entire front of the gallery -about 24 feet.
