I guess as one gets older the rate of funeral attendances tends to increase. A sad part of life. But its even sadder when you attend the funeral of someone who left way too soon by taking their own life. I paid my respects to one such individual today. The Canberra Airport has long been a thorn in the Canberra taxi industry's side. I don't know how many cabs they think should be running around Canberra, but it is clearly never enough and they are always waxing lyrical about how Canberra needs more cabs.....it doesn't.

On the night of Monday 19th Jan I was struck down with Cellulitis which I have had a few times before. The propensity for people to walk right past a maxi taxi who is first on a rank so that they can get into a regular taxi amazes me. I'm guessing they do this for a number of misinformed reasons. Let me explode those myths.

No doubt you recently have heard that Canberra Taxis were approved for a fare increase from 1 July 2014. The flagfall rose 15c and went from $4.85 to $5.00 and the cents per kilometre rose 1c. This is a fantastic effort from Aerial...isn't it ( Read more... )
