Played some Last Night on Earth Friday night in lieu of D&D, which phargle has soured on running recently. LNoE was fun, and cinematic as all hell. Got someone out to look at replacing the door pane. Should have an estimate back today. Called insurance to ask about it and since I can't find any evidence that it was vandalism it's not covered. This past week was nice and family filled. Dad and Jon came into town from Three Rivers Wednesday night, brimming with stories of bigfoot sightings as passed on by the campground host. Gamings distracted me from my empty house this weekend. It was empty on account of Carrie being in Carl-Bad and the tile finishing some grout curing.

If you're not watching Breaking Bad, you should be. And appropriate to watching a show concerning crystal meth cooking in Albuquerque, my house smells like a chemical warfare site thanks to the spray on sealer I used on the floor.

The floor looks great! All that's left is giving the grout some time to cure, sealing it, then moving everything back in. If the grout allows for it I'll seal it this afternoon. Moving stuff back in will probably wait till Sunday ( Read more... )

The rest of the floor tile got laid yesterday and today they're finishing up the fireplace seat and grouting. It looks great. I could nitpick about a few small bits but I would likely have made 10x the mistakes. Should be all wrapped up by the time I get home today. Tiling has commenced and at a faster pace than I thought. Yesterday they had the carpet all torn out and every piece of tile they didn't need to cut laid down.
