Our family life is interesting to say the least.
Three of the grandchildren live upstairs with their Mom and Dad (my son.)  Soon there will be four.
D is a very strong mother figure with her own way of doing things.  She should be.  I should let her be.  That has been the hardest adjustment.

I am just recovering from about 5 days of some real pain.  An infection in my mouth that affected my whole body.  I could not put Dunk's needs, the dogs needs or any ones needs ahead of mine.  It is rare that I ignore what others need.   I was just in too much pain.  A constant painful throbbing and adding to that severe headaches and sleeplessness ( Read more... )

With toddlers in the house, their anticipation of Santa Claus and wide eyed wonder on Christmas morning was very BRIGHT  and SHINY.  I could almost recapture that feeling when I believed that one man could magically provide me with all that I wanted.

I spent a wonderful hour with my grandson on Saturday morning.
On Thursday I had been given a container of shells that my mother had collected during the seaside vacations in her life.  From the outside of the plastic container only one shell stood out.  A pretty spiraling shell with blue & white.  So I decided to carefully lay all the shells out to ( Read more... )

I will post some pictures of these marvelous pumpkins.  M has always loved pumpkin carving so he is willing to do lots of work.  The boys were over and they picked their patterns.   One says BOO and the other has flames around the eyes.  Very cool.  M has all the tools needed to scrape out the gookie stuff inside the huge pumpkins and the little ( Read more... )
