Gathering at my Parent's house. ( I say parents because both of my parents are really gone.  My Mom is still with us in body, but the personality we knew is no longer there.) And maybe I should say family home.  My sister and her husband are really our hosts at these gatherings.

I am sure we have all been rude enough to interrupt an actual face to face discussion by answering our cell phones.  Or worse, reading/sending texts while with friends.  Our world changing technology is invading our lives and will change our ideas of what is rude and what is okay.  It is important to be aware and to work towards staying in touch ( Read more... )

With toddlers in the house, their anticipation of Santa Claus and wide eyed wonder on Christmas morning was very BRIGHT  and SHINY.  I could almost recapture that feeling when I believed that one man could magically provide me with all that I wanted.

What a gloomy mess, and no way to start the day.
I feel like I need a lift.
Maybe it is the rain.  Probably it is the lack of sunshine.  I think we had a sunny morning on Saturday, but it has been gloomy since.  I should probably go get some fake stuff at the Northern Lights (tanning.)  I know it is bad for the skin, but it would feel so good.

I feel pretty much normal today, which is great.  The surgery is over.  Thank goodness.  The benign cyst removed and the incision is healing.  I think it at this point that I feel lazy instead of recuperating.  Tiredness is a big factor and I definitely haven't been overdoing it to test my limits, but I think it is hard to just sit.  The anesthetic ( Read more... )
