Last night we watched the Oscar winning movie, "THE HURT LOCKER".  As sometimes happens I find myself at the limit of how much I can watch.  Yes, I thought it was a great movie and deserved the awards, but for me it is the single fact that the director, actors, etc. did such a good job that make it so difficult to watch.

I feel pretty much normal today, which is great.  The surgery is over.  Thank goodness.  The benign cyst removed and the incision is healing.  I think it at this point that I feel lazy instead of recuperating.  Tiredness is a big factor and I definitely haven't been overdoing it to test my limits, but I think it is hard to just sit.  The anesthetic ( Read more... )

Dunk & I belong to Netflix (which actually isn't working that well lately.)  It's not working because most of the new releases just end up on the "long wait" list.  So we may be ending our relationship sooner rather than later.
We always have a variety on the list, but when we would go a week without getting a movie, I started hunting for more ( Read more... )

With a snowbound weekend, Dunk & I watched a couple movies.
Into the Wild was a very thought provoking movie, especially since it was adapted from the biography of a young man.  The most difficult thing is trying to understand why this young man felt compelled to embark on this journey.

I grew up with shows like Wagon Train, Rin Tin Tin, The Lone Ranger and Bonanza. I loved watching them. A romantic view of the "old west." The message was clear. There are good guys and bad guys.
