Pumpkin carving

I will post some pictures of these marvelous pumpkins.  M has always loved pumpkin carving so he is willing to do lots of work.  The boys were over and they picked their patterns.   One says BOO and the other has flames around the eyes.  Very cool.  M has all the tools needed to scrape out the gookie stuff inside the huge pumpkins and the little tools to make the precision cuts.
The two older live-in kids picked their patterns.  A spider and a dragon and they helped, but I think before the age of 5, it might be too difficult.  There are still 2 pumpkins left to carve and each one is bigger than a basketball.
All these cool pumpkins are sitting outside my house on the walk leading to the front porch.  Weird because we don't participate in trick-or-treat night.  Not because we don't want to, but because our house is in an out of the way place which no more than 3 kid groups make it to our door on Halloween.  Just doesn't seem worth it to us anymore.
This is a totally unrelated subject, other than it is about M and his X, but last week M came home with some adorable pictures of his other family that he finally got his X to share.  Of course he paid for them.  He and Des knocked on our bedroom door to show them to dunk & me.  I got excited to be seeing little R for the first time in a very cute photo and I enthusiastically asked if I could scan the pictures.  Hopefully to share with my family.  But M said he was made to promise not to give me the pictures.  WHAT!!!  She even withholds the pictures.  And this morning I ask WHY?  I believe it had something to do with posting the photos on Facebook.  So I searched for the X by name on Facebook and there was a photo of all the kids.... just with the X in the middle.  So if you want to see a current picture, please feel free to check that out.
Wow, she really is a nut.
