It’s been nearly two weeks now since I last remembered something. Whenever something strange happens it doesn't usually last more than a week, and that includes the false memories from before. Last week I thought I remembered that the man I met in Luin--he was searching a for a way to help the Giant Kharlan Tree, which was in trouble again. So I helped him, and he offered to take me along. Ratatosk again.

I was charged with guarding the Giant Kharlan Tree a long time ago. It was important to the world-central in the world’s mana distribution. Without it the world would have slowly died, and there would have been much disaster. Not too different from what that book said, but it also got who I was wrong. There was another note at the door today, like the journal entry about the island's gods. It was another journal entry. According to that, the original shopkeepers here worked for somebody called "Lord Eden." Is that the same Eden who's one of the gods here? It's strange. I've been reading more of the books I got, and I found something strange. The book Professor Klarth gave me actually mentioned Ratatosk! There isn't much, but it says Ratatosk was a squirrel that ran up and down the world tree, called Yggdrasill, delivering messages ( Read more... )

After my parents died, I lived with some other relatives in a town called Luin. I didn't get along with the people there. Everybody, even my aunt and uncle, hated me because I told of the monsters that started coming when I did. The people in Luin thought I controlled the monsters, but that wasn't true at all. Is it possible that what we remember is fake?

Lloyd got me and some others to dress up and help give out candy for another of the holiday celebrations around here--that was the reason for the Secret Santa exchanges before.
