Another year comes to an end. Indeed this year has been one of new beginnings and old things coming to an end. My parents are moving out of the house where I spent most of my child hood. So many memories within those walls. I feel a sadness to leave it behind although most of the feeling of home has disappeared for me since I moved out. Perhaps ( Read more... )

I've been staying busy lately not just with school work but doing things for fun. I feel I need to get out more. I've had a tendency to be a bit of a recluse at times. Being alone can be great but I feel if I'm gonna improve my self confidence I need to challange myself and go outside the known frame, out of the comfort zone. Environmental issues seem to be high fashion right now. In the cinemas they have been showing at least 3 documentaries (that I know of) on the subject, "The planet", "The inconvenient truth" and "Darwin's nightmare", and they haven't just been showing them at the small cinemas that usually show documentaries but at the larger more mainstream ones. I'm sitting here with a big grin on my face. Why? Well I just saw a wonderful anime film called "My neighbor Totoro". It's by the same guy who made "Spirited away" if that rings any bells. Yay for organic fruits and veggies! The organic section at the grocery store why I usually shops has been so bad lately I very often end up getting very little or no fresh fruit and veggies at all. Being vegan that is obviously a major problem. Going to the health food shop in town to shop for everything just isn't a working option. I do love that ( Read more... )
