Do you, do you, do you, do you wanna dance
This weekend I have been quite busy, but busy doing things I enjoyed :) On Friday I went to see Rigoletto at the opera. Verdi sure could write music. But I’m a bit tired of old plays and operas so often being set in more modern settings. I mean if I wanted to see ugly worn down apartment buildings then I can do that in reality. I guess they want to show that it is timeless and could happen today as well as when it was written but I’d rather see it in historical settings. But maybe that’s just me and my love for historical clothes.
I was at my parents house on Saturday fixing up a box I made once in school (cause I didn’t like how I had painted it) and also and old mirror thing that my mom had got years ago. It had been painted over a few times first it was white then at some point pink and then finally red. It had been collecting dust in the attic for years. I thought it would be a shame to just throw it away so I decided to take it and fix it. It took me quite a while. I was sanding the things for about 5 hours non stop so my neck and hands still feel a bit sore. I was so into it so time just flew by. Now I just have to decide how to paint them. I have started a bit on the mirror but it’s not quite finished yet. Nice to do something creative again.
Yesterday dancing was the theme of the day. I took a course in Finnish tango :D It was a lot of fun so I have signed up for the continuing course next Sunday. I was expecting it to be mainly older ppl there but I was surprised to find that it was quite mixed actually all though I was among the youngest. They also had a tango evening after but I felt I was too tired to dance more so skipped it. Maybe I’ll go next time they have it. In the same place they also have folk dance every Sunday evening to live music and sometimes they have other activities. Best of all it doesn’t cost much. The course just cost me 100kr and the rest of the things don’t cost anything :D I’ll definitely have to go there again and check out the other things they have. I hadn’t gone dancing for so long. Sure I dance all the time at home but I mean actually go out dancing. When you go clubbing for most ppl it’s not about the dancing but about the drinking and I just want to dance so this place seems ideal for me :)
