Just heard from Ct. Jury still out. Haven’t even asked for a break. I have no idea what that means, but I hope it means they’ve rejected not guilty and are struggling with the kidnapping charge (or maybe sexual assault since it’s not clear which bad guy did that one). Could mean they are hung. Ugh. I am so preoccupied.

Phillip Dominick Landry testified today. My sister was present and said she didn’t think his story held together well. I was pretty sure this would be the case because his alibi didn’t match the evidence of his known whereabouts. She said some jurors took a lot of notes, some didn’t. I’ll post whatever article gets printed.

Just finished opening arguments. He's older then I was told, 26. Served two tours in Iraq which explains a lot actually. His Mom is there and I heard for the first time a lot of what happened that night. She cried when they showed the pictures. This whole thing sucks so much. I feel bad for everyone.

Testimony starts tomorrow with my Father and his wife the first witnesses. For reasons that I do not understand, the DA has spoken to neither of them. They have not been prepped at all.

Moreover, the DA has overcharged the case. For you non-lawyers:  The DA decides what crimes to charge the defendant with. In this case, he ahs charged ( Read more... )

Hey, I didn’t see this originally because I had to go back to work, and I bet a lot of you didn’t either. But Joseph Lowery’s benediction is everything Warran’s speech wasn’t.
