That blows, mate rdholmantx January 31 2009, 00:22:04 UTC
Sorry that happened to your parents. One would hope that if the worst happens, then... things would take care of themselves. Anyone that does that to an elderly couple and then gets released takes the chance that nature will take its course.

One would hope, but I worry a lot more about what he might do to others. And I think nature will more likely take its course if he's in jail. I don't believe inmates are fond of those who abuse children and the elderly.

Thanks. Ugh...too much talking actually! I think I'll watch the big game and lots of other mindless TV. I think I have American Idol taped.

Did you get your proposal done?

Well, yeah, perhaps I should have said - If you want to discuss the migratory habits of the coconut-laden swallow - that is.

Got the LeakyCon proposal in, and Dicky spearheaded getting the Azkatraz one in for she, Mara and I.

There has been an extension announced for Az (due to the US weather and concern that a lot of people have been cut off and unable to get to internet), so there is another week, if you need (or someone needs) it.

Nope, we got ours in as well. This will be great. We'll all just run around seeing each other!

Right back at you bitch. I'm really looking forward to this summer. I'm waiting to see how many people come on the 12th. May get a RV!

Every time I read one of those newspaper articles about the testimony, I cringe at what your folks went through. I want both of those men thrown in jail and all keys tossed into the Pacific.

How do you stay calm and not indulge in revenge fantasies?

I am sorry about the furloughs. And the IOUs California is issuing instead of checks for tax refunds. California is always on the cutting edge. I'm really sorry that Illinois is watching because it might give our new Governor ideas.

Illinois governors and their ideas generally scare me.

California is issuing IOUs rather than tax refunds??? Argh.

I hope those men are thrown behind bars and made to endure exactly what they did to others, repeatedly.

"No man's life, liberty, or property are safe as long as the legislature is in session."

Was it Will Rogers or Mark Twain who said it?

It's been attributed to both, as well as B. Franklin, can't really say for sure, but the sentiment still rings with some truth.
