Not much happening in the online world today, no job calls, so it's the perfect day to continue catching up on my unwatched DVD/Blu-ray pile.

This weekend will be good to try catching up on watching my unwatched DVD/Blu-ray pile, since Leo Laporte is on vacation, and isn't doing his live online tech shows this week.

Mom, Andrew, and I watched my DVD of the Steven Spielberg movie "1941" this evening. Don't ya hate when you pre-order a DVD a couple months in advance, they SAY you'll get it on its official release date, then it's a DAY late??

Mom mentioned a couple of weeks ago she has never seen the movie "Casablanca". I've seen it numerous times, one of my favorite films. Thought I'd show her the DVD, which I could have SWORN I had in my collection. Turns out I didn't have it. Even though cash is tight, ordered the complete series of the TV show "Wonder Woman" starring Lynda Carter on DVD. Had my eye on it for ages, but never saw individual seasons less than $39. Watched the first two discs in the "Best of The Dean Martin Variety Show" DVD set I got via UPS today. Never thought I'd see Dean Martin, Jimmy Stewart, and Orson Welles, all in wigs with curlers in them, singing a musical number. Replacement rechargable battery for the 5+ year old Panasonic cordless phone arrived in the mail today. Currently on its initial 24-hour charge. Original battery was to the point it only functioned about 20 minutes when talking to someone. WAY past due to be replaced ( Read more... )
