Seems the kind of movie Ed Wood might have made if he had the budget. Also ordered the Warner Archive Blu-ray of "Three Little Words" starring Fred Astaire and Red Skelton. A few days ago I watched the 2022 film "Babylon" for the first time on Paramount+. Liked it so much, I ordered a physical copy to add to my collection (since things don't stay on streaming forever). Watching "Smokey and the Bandit"(1977) again for the umpteenth time since it was first released in the theater. It's one of those films I never get tired of. When I bought the 4K version, the first disc in that format I purchased, I was far from impressed. Had a 4K player and a 4K TV in the living room. Disc looked dim and washed out color wise. Don't judge me. I actually LIKE this film. Not as much as the original, but I find it entertaining. However, I think the movie might be "cursed". It was mostly a box office flop at the time of release. I finally ordered a copy on Blu-ray from Amazon last month, but returned it after discovering it was a "burned" disc instead of a "pressed" disc. ( Read more... )

Just finished watching a disc I "splurged" on while picking up a few things with mom at Wally World this afternoon. It's the first disc I've bought in the format. I think the reason I find podcasts like "Stu's Show" so fascinating is because most of my life, I've enjoyed more TV/movies/music from "before my time" than I have stuff from within my lifetime, and the guests are always so informative. I always learn something new.

Interesting observation I had watching "The Flying Saucer" season five episode of "The Beverly Hillbillies" on the DVD set. Jerry Maren played one of the "Martians".
