Movies I've purchased multiple times, the last being Blu-ray, because it's good enough...
King Kong, 1933 version (Nostalgia Merchant VHS, Warner DVD, Warner Blu-ray)
Caddyshack (admittedly first copy was a VHS taped from HBO, but then a DVD and later Blu-ray)
Ghostbusters (RCA/Columbia VHS release, then Sony DVD and later Blu-ray)
The Complete Al (CBS VHS and later Shout Factory DVD reissue)
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (BBC TV version, first on VHS, then a DVD, then a Blu-ray reissue, latter not really an "improvement" over the DVD)
The Monkees TV series (DVD release, remastered Blu-ray release- latter a HUGE improvement)
Monty Python's Flying Circus (A&E DVD release, then remastered Network Blu-ray release, latter a HUGE improvement, even though shot on PAL tape in the late 60's/early 70's)
The Blues Brothers (VHS, then DVD, then Blu-ray, latter including the "Director's Cut", which is better than the theatrical cut)
