Just happened to cross my mind to go outside to crank the truck and let it run for a while. Since these health issues started, I don't drive every day, so I go out every so often and run the truck to keep the battery up, for the rare days I DO go somewhere in it.

Because I don't get out much since the health issues, I go out every few days and let my truck run for a half hour or so. The times I've forgotten to do that, had to use moms car to jump off the battery. I DO occasionally make short trips in the truck, they are just few and far between.

Electricity went out for around 3 minutes last night during the storm. It went out again this morning for nearly 20 minutes, with the sun shining. Both times, had to reset the time and date on the living room computer. Guess it's time to replace the bios battery.

Well, truck wouldn't start again this morning, even after charging yesterday. So, got another "jump" from moms car, and went back to Advance Auto Parts. Just went ahead and bought a brand new battery, so hopefully won't have any more issues for a while!

Well POO! Can't watch Svengoolie tonight since KWMS 18.1 is off the air, and my SECOND choice, 48 Hours isn't on because of freggin' sportsball ( Read more... )

Woke up this morning to a "dead" truck battery. All it needed was a "jump" however. Went by Advance Auto and had it tested to be sure. While there, bought a new battery post clamp, because the "negative" side one had corroded through on one side. This day started out on a sour note. Mom was going to go to her doctor this morning, because her prescription meds were running low. She gets in her car, it won't start. The new camera I ordered that I talked about in this post arrived late yesterday. However, because of a restless night earlier, I was getting too tired to mess with it. Replacement rechargable battery for the 5+ year old Panasonic cordless phone arrived in the mail today. Currently on its initial 24-hour charge. Original battery was to the point it only functioned about 20 minutes when talking to someone. WAY past due to be replaced ( Read more... )
