Going to be a bit "lonely" around the ol' house for about a week or so. My uncle had to go to Shreveport today for some major surgery, so while he's away, Mom agreed to stay at his place to "dogsit", since his dog is old and set in his ways, and my uncle has a fenced in yard so the dog can be let out a few times a day to do his "business" and roam ( Read more... )

Went to my appointment this morning to get my eyes checked for any diabetes issues, will be contacted later if they find anything. Friday, the post-op appointment for the previous esophageal procedure. Uncle Barrett asked mom to bring him some clean underwear to the hospital. When she went to his trailer to check on his dog, she looked for clean underwear, but all of it was in the dirty clothes hamper. So, she brought it home, and she and I washed all of his dirty laundry.

Mom seems to be the person to drive people to the hospital lately. She has been driving me there for the monthly procedures, and this afternoon she is gone to take Uncle Barrett to the emergency room. I got on the riding mower again Friday since the yard was getting extremely "shaggy". Just like the previous time late last month, feeling "bruised" around the area of my surgery, even though it's two days later. Mowed all the areas I can get with the riding mower. Nasty weather out, yet mom has gone to Uncle Barrett's place to check on his dog, since he picked THIS weekend to go on a camping trip, and had asked mom to check up on his dog while he's gone. Weather service says 60 mph winds and quarter sized hail possibly heading this way.

This day started out on a sour note. Mom was going to go to her doctor this morning, because her prescription meds were running low. She gets in her car, it won't start.
