I forgot what a horrible movie The Fighting Temptations is. Kind of unfortunate, since they have some good music on the soundtrack. Beyonce is such a horrible actress... I heard yesterday that Kelly Clarkson had canceled her tour this summer, and was curious to hear what the reasons were. It's one thing to cancel a few dates, but to cancel an entire tour is, of course, quite a bit bigger than that.
I was thinking it was something more scandalous: pregnancy came to mind, or illness on her or someone elses part. ( Read more... ) -

This is one reason that I am so excited to be moving into Chicago.
What a beautiful city! While there are a lot of towns and cities that have exciting and fun things to do, not all are beautiful to me in the way that other cities are. And this is just such a gorgeous photo. I can't wait to be moved! -

On Monday I was called by someone at the college, asking me to come in and do some testing that they do for all their Administrative Assistants. It was on Word, Excel, typing and editing. They were timed tests; half hour for the first two, 5 minutes for the typing and I don't know how long for the editing one ( Read more... ) -

Wednesday's interview
I had an interview Wednesday at a university in Chicago. The Housing office is hiring for an Administrative Assistant. I ended up getting there a little before 9 am - my interview was a 11. New furniture
So the place that I had seen that had really lovely furniture had a Memorial Day sale last weekend. No interest until July 2009, so that's good - payments, or if possible pay off in big chunks. I think it'll be paid for well before that date, but it's nice to have two years to do it.
