I forgot what a horrible movie The Fighting Temptations is. Kind of unfortunate, since they have some good music on the soundtrack. Beyonce is such a horrible actress... God willing her record sales will drop, and movie executives will stop counting on her misguided fans to bost sales of any movie they cast her in. The best part of the movie is probably Cuba Gooding breakdancing at the end of the movie. I'm curious if it actually is him; if so, he's pretty good.
But maybe what drives me more nuts than anything is the part at the end where they're in the competition, and Cuba is 'conducting' the choir. He does that thing where he spreads his arms and then brings them back together, in a kind of weak attempt at flying. First off, with all the musicians that were part of the cast, you might think ONE of them knew what actual conducting looked like. Secondly, it wouldn't have cost them all that much to have a college professor, studio musician, or even a junior high trumpet player to lend some technical advice. GRRR!
But now I'm watching Remember the Titans, which I've heard is good (and even here in the first 20 minutes, it looks better than the other movie), so I can wash FT from my brain.
