I got a call from the HR department of the university; tomorrow I have to drive into Chicago to do some sort of testing or assessment. It will take about 2 hours, and will deal with Word, Excel, typing, editing

My mom works at a college, and they do the same screening tests there. They are usually pretty easy hurdles to get past - so I wouldn't worry about it too much. They don't bring candidates back in for the tests unless they think they can pass them!
Oh goodness... you don't know how much better you've made me feel. I must admit, I certainly FEEL like this is my first Real Job; I've never had to do so much work to get one before! All the other jobs I've ever had (retail, working in the office at school, etc) have been simple 15-30 minute interviews, or people knowing they were going to hire me before I came in. I'd never done a phone interview before, then there was the 1 1/2 hour interview/group interview/tour, then this... whew

You beat me to my entry. Haha. I got a call about an hour after I left them yesterday, offering me the position. Yay! It's weird to think I'll make as much in one week as I did in two (or almost two) at my old job. Yeah, that sounds about right.. because I know it's at least twice the salary (my last full-time job was in retail).
I got a 86 on both Excel & Word, typing 79 WPM w/with 100% accuracy. I was at MAC yesterday, less than an hour after leaving the HR Department, when I got the phone call and was offered a job. :)
