The land of free bathrooms and toilet seat covers is all well and good, but I miss Bayern. I did not know it was possible to be homesick for a place you only lived in for three weeks, but it is.

Also, 7 hours on a train yesterday (Venezia to München) + 9 hours on a plane today (München to D.C.) + 6 hours of jet lag = oof.

I just squeaked through Chicago between storms and made it home last night with no trouble at all. My flights weren't even delayed (significantly). I totally lucked out and picked the right flights, and even my luggage arrived safely. \o/ I feel bad for all the stranded people before and after me, though ( Read more... )

I was totally popular tonight - three phone calls in a row! First my mum, then my dad, and then bretagnes_rose. Seriously, barely five minutes between and about an hour for each call. It was lovely, but all that talking was rather exhausting for my throat ( Read more... )

I've been having to move all my crap around again this week due to apartment refurbishing. My parents' skunk had babies!

No, my parents don't really have a pet skunk. She just likes to hang out around their house. My stepdad named her Petunia. :) They were kind of worried 'cause they hadn't seen her for a while, but then she came back with skunklets. Wow, it's Friday already. Huh.

Anyway, I got back from New York on Monday afternoon. I had a lovely little visit with Brittany: we ate some tasty food, visited a couple museums, watched a few movies, and chatted (with a dash of scheming) in between. :)
