Also, tonight I finally put up some glow-in-the-dark stars! This makes me immensely happy. I've been waiting to scatter the ones on the ceiling until I manage to acquire a stepladder, but it occurred to me I could at least put up Orion on a closet door. So I did. :)
This is one of three things that make a house/apartment a home for me.
1) glow-in-the-dark Orion constellation (plus other stars eventually, but Orion is most important)
2) books on my shelves, neatly organized
3) baking something (cookies or scones) in the kitchen
I am still waiting on 2 & 3, but having accomplished 1 makes me happy. :) I am on my way to 2 (books on shelves, but not properly organized yet), and I hiked over to Whole Foods this morning to acquire more baking supplies (since I fail at long-term planning and completely forgot to get butter and eggs whilst stocking my kitchen), so perhaps I'll get to the baking next weekend.
You can probably tell a lot about me based on those three things. And therefore I ask you, flist, what are the most important things that make a house a home for you?
home,
me,
books,
orion,
baking,
stars,
happiness,
a room of one's own
