This morning, a fourteen-year-old girl in my neighborhood let her dog into the backyard and saw a baboon under her tree, playing with a volleyball. She took a picture of it with her camera phone, and the blue-faced baboon was startled by the "smile!" sound it made, and ran off. Police were called to the scene, and Patterson road was blocked off. Saturday night I went to the Ice Festival in the Delmar Loop. The Loop is a street with a ton of eclectic shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues, and during the Ice Festival a bunch of stores put ice sculptures outside.

Every Wednesday, our school has a "bar" lunch. Chinese bar, Mexican bar, breakfast bar. One day in early November, it was the Chinese bar, and it came with a fortune cookie.

"Remember three months from this date. Good things are in store for you."
