I've been spending most of my time at ontd_lostffa having comment parties with my friends, abusing capslock, and drawing them pictures in MS Paint. We had user awards this week, where we dressed up our icons and photoshopped ourselves into red carpet pictures, and had fabulous after-parties. I didn't win anything, but I did get this:

I've had very little time on the computer this week because my dad tore down our shed and is building a new one, and he needs help. This week, I've had to strip paint off of an old metal door, haul lumber and plywood and shingles, break up the rock pile, cart all the pieces of the old shed out to the dumpster we rented, and brave the sun and heat ( Read more... )

When I was a child in the 90's, I remember seeing something on Nickelodeon saying that it's good luck to say "rabbit rabbit" when you wake up on the first day of a new morning. These last few days have been pretty crazy. Friday we drove down to Columbia, Missouri to see my Grandpa in the hospital. He'd been in surgery to remove cancer from his lungs, and it worked, but he had a heart attack on the table and so then they had to perform heart surgery. Rode down here to SIUC yesterday morning. It only took about three hours, which is about as long as it takes to get to my grandparent's farm. Arrived in town early, went to the mall food court for lunch because the restaurants were crowded. They had a store called Romancing the Stone, which is like Earthbound Trading Company x 3.
