I had planned for the Wai-con, that a mirror would be needed at the booth, so that people can have a look at how the hat suits them or not, when they're trying on one of the demo hats, and since all the mirrors I have at home are huge, or attached to the wall, I decided to buy one.

 I went shopping today and came across this puff paint, and recalling a tutorial I read somewhere, about how this an be used to make icing, or melted chocolate on things, I decided to buy some. And ended up getting a pink, cream and a chocolate coloured one, with some plan  in mind to use them as strawberry, chocolate and vanilla icing. So anyway, ( Read more... )

I have finally finished my batch of cupcakes! Last night I finished decorating, and hot glueing the pegs onto them! I am glad it's over, as fun as it is making them, the craft glue I use to glue the toppings and sprinkles on is quite stiff, it's not very squeezy, so my thumb has gone numb and I have yet to regain all feeling in it XD There's just ( Read more... )

I am sure I mentioned this in the previous post, but I have been making more cupcake bases. The reason why is beacuse I ordered some fuwa icing on etsy, and I wanted to get the bases and the painting and toppings done before they arrive, so that I can make them as quickly as possible! For the past couple of days and I believe for the next few weeks (probably), I will be busy making my plushy hats! The factory production line style is working well, and I've (so far) cut and sewed 11 Pooki hats in a matter of 3 days, pretty good I think. Anyway, a picture of what I have so far!

 I know I'm on late, but I'm excited (but exhausted) about finishing the army of pink cupcakes!! I finished painting, glossing, decorating and gluing the pegs onto the photo stands! Gah!
