 I went shopping today and came across this puff paint, and recalling a tutorial I read somewhere, about how this an be used to make icing, or melted chocolate on things, I decided to buy some. And ended up getting a pink, cream and a chocolate coloured one, with some plan  in mind to use them as strawberry, chocolate and vanilla icing. So anyway, ( Read more... )

I have finally finished my batch of cupcakes! Last night I finished decorating, and hot glueing the pegs onto them! I am glad it's over, as fun as it is making them, the craft glue I use to glue the toppings and sprinkles on is quite stiff, it's not very squeezy, so my thumb has gone numb and I have yet to regain all feeling in it XD There's just ( Read more... )

Last night I managed to finish painting and glossing all the cupcake bases I needed, and iced all of them! I even got to decorate the green and blue cupcakes with the toppings and sprinkles:

I making pretty progress making these cupcakes! And happily, the icing came in the mail!! So I was able to ice the cupcake bases I've already done, in addition to the yellow ones too. But here is the new way of how I dry the cupcakes after painting and glossing:

I am sure I mentioned this in the previous post, but I have been making more cupcake bases. The reason why is beacuse I ordered some fuwa icing on etsy, and I wanted to get the bases and the painting and toppings done before they arrive, so that I can make them as quickly as possible! For the past couple of days and I believe for the next few weeks (probably), I will be busy making my plushy hats! The factory production line style is working well, and I've (so far) cut and sewed 11 Pooki hats in a matter of 3 days, pretty good I think. Anyway, a picture of what I have so far!

 I know I'm on late, but I'm excited (but exhausted) about finishing the army of pink cupcakes!! I finished painting, glossing, decorating and gluing the pegs onto the photo stands! Gah! Lately I've been busy making models so that I can use them to make moulds, and those models have been baked but I haven't started on making the moulds yet. Just a quick update on my watermelon box project - I've finished the box, all painted and glossed and it's all shiny and pretty, and I managed to make a slice of watermelon out of cardboard - using polymer clay would make it too heavy, and would use waaay too much clay - and I've finished that too!
