In my last post, I was complaining about hard year-old clay, and that it was atrocious to work with. Happily, I did find that bottle of Sculpey Clay Softener, so here goes my little tutorial/review of it! I was painting some of the newly baked batch of charms and decided that I may as well also do a sort of painting tutorial, or show the process I use to get them painted and finished, decorations and all.  I baked the batch of charms I have at the moment, so I made the tutorial on how to bake the charms too as promised ^_^ There has been some debate over if it’s safe to bake them in an oven that you eat from, I’m not sure if it is, but there is a method of doing it to make sure that whatever the clay releases when it’s being baked, it won’t affect ( Read more... )

 It's my friend's birthday coming up soon, and I decided to make her cupcakes (since she likes the ones I make) and I wanted to try something different. I was looking around the internet for icing techniques, and came across the two-tone frosting technique, and the rose cupcake. It looked so pretty that I had to give it a try!

I know I'm on late, but just a quick post - I want to show how well a mould Oyumaru makes, and if it is made properly, it is very useful! Firstly, I made a two part mould of my chibi figurine (tutorial to come later), and once the mould sets, you can use it.
