Tuesday's practice was a repetition of last Tuesday's practice, but without all the jammer specific drills. We covered the following:

• Knees over toes
• Crossover drills: jumping, one footed
• Crossovers at high speed
• Stopping and accelerating
• Hockey stops

After a couple of bad project related decisions (having to back out of tasks I'd originally accepted, tools not matching my expectations, pissy project managers), I finally had what I consider to be my first extremely productive day as a freelance translator ( Read more... )

I woke up to the sound of rain and the front door slamming shut. It wasn't even 6am, and I slept for another hour before deciding to get up. I spent Thursday evening looking up the correct ergonomic heights/angles for standing desks, and I spent a bit of time adjusting things on Friday.
