Back to Work
2016 is off to a good start so far! I woke up fully rested at 6:30am, and was done with today's assignment by noon, giving me a very good head start on an assignment that isn't due until Wednesday. Hells yes, I love keeping ahead of schedule.
I wonder how I'll react when I finally do experience mismanaging my capacity and am unable to deliver something on time :X
I have plenty of little things to look forward to currently, and it makes me all about 2016 right now.
Oslo is getting 70mm screenings of The Hateful Eight, I already have tickets to three screenings. Even more screenings were announced today, all the tickets were gone just a couple of hours later. I absolutely cannot wait. Cinemateket is doing a full Tarantino celebration, and they are screening all of his films in January and February. I missed the theatrical run of Inglourious Basterds, so I am very excited to finally see it on the big screen. FINALLY.
January 14th I head back to the Japanese embassy to hand off my working holiday visa application yet again. Hopefully this visit will be a little less embarrassing than the last one.
I have a lot of new books and comics to read, having a bookshelf filled with unread things just makes me want to read all the time. It's wonderful!
Lastly, I am currently binge watching From the New World, an anime based on a novel. It's hitting a lot of sweet spots for me. There's horror, suspense, adventure, fantasy, and sci-fi elements, but also romance, and personal drama. I have randomly been able to guess some of the weird twists and turns, and it just leaves me wanting more. I can't wait to see what happens next. Currently on episode 12! I'd love to find more shows/books/films like this.
