Re-watching the extended editions of Lord of the Rings with Beth. No matter how much I liked seeing certain aspects of the books that had been left out, I do have to concede that some of the scenes added back in do tend to drag or tangle the narrative in this format, and I could do without. I wasn't sure what to write today, so I decided to reflect a little on this year's NaNoWriMo. I finished my novel by the skin of my teeth (150 extra words with 20 extra minutes) and really hate all 50,150 words I wrote. I also had an interesting year as one of Detroit's two co-MLs.

I feel good today. Like, really, really good. I don't know why. I just... The fall play, Halloween Screams, just closed. I did the costumes (as per usual), and had a tremendous time. Last night was the cast party at i_pour_my_heart's house, and I love her dearly.
