I got a letter today from the National Marrow Donor Program telling me I'm ineligible to join the registry because "sex change transformation".

1. Call Wayne State and see what's holding up my check (so I can pay for the actual filing).
2. Go over the forms with my gender therapist to make sure I did everything right.

I've been on testosterone for a little over a month, now. All of the negative side effects are happening first. I'm getting more zits than usual. I feel bloated. It's playing merry hell with my period (I JUST WANT THAT THING TO GO AWAY). My singing voice has lost a lot of it's stamina, and too much belting along with the radio makes me hoarse. So, this past Sunday being Father's Day, I told my dad we could do whatever he wanted. He picked Cedar Point! So, we spent the day running around in the sun and riding roller coasters. Today is the first full day of me on Testosterone. Weird. I didn't think I'd feel much this quickly, and I don't feel much that is different, but still. I'm much more energetic. I feel sort of like I'm hyper. It started about six hours after I got the T into my system, this knee-jiggling energy. It only went away when I was tired right before bed. ( Read more... )
