I have a laptop from work. Some time ago it stopped connecting to my home WiFi, and I've had to use it on an Ethernet cable. This means I can't use it in the bedroom, bathroom, out on the deck, etc. ☹

It does work on Mom's WiFi. The difference? WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) here, WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access) there. ( Read more... )

anniemal caught a nasty cold last week (while grocery shopping before the blizzard, she thinks), and I had caught it Thursday. It got worse over the weekend, and I've worked from home 3 days (so far) this week. (It's rained, too, Monday and Wednesday, so I wasn't keen on biking those days anyway.) Odd benefit of the insane scrutinizing of our shopping behavior:
