I often haven't felt like going anywhere and dealing with crowds on Independence Day. Our fireworks have been going up on the roof and seeing what we can see. anniemal hasn't gone up the ladder for years. And every year the trees around us are bigger, and block more of the view.

absentee ballot

My mail-in ballot arrived today. anniemal says they started mailing them out yesterday. I requested it on-line Aug 14. Aug 6 we each received pre-filled-out ballot-request forms from the "Center for Voter Information" with pre-paid return envelopes addressed to the county registrar. I listening to the last of The Big Broadcast from August 5 (a week ago). The shows are on line for a week, so I could just catch the show I missed at Pennsic. It's been a busy day so far.
I did a little bit of lawn mowing. The decrepit batteries did not, of course, last long.
I took a last look at my bike's drive train, trying to figure out where the noise is coming from in the lower gears. Still failing at that, I had an excuse for a ride to Vienna, VA. I didn't realize this ( Read more... ) -

Thursday (Wednesday?) afternoon I could see the tents set up for B2WD. I guess that gives the ground underneath some time to drain before Friday morning.
