Armistice basket weaving

08:00 Sunday 01 August 2021

I woke up cold at 06:30; added the Snugli.

There is a basket-making class at 10:00; 4 hours long. If that's full, there's a leatherwork class at 13:00.

Sunday 08:25

anniemal just phoned me looking for Daphne's (
eftychia's) phone number. I don't have it, nor her email address. I sent Daphne email last week, but not from this computer.
Andrea was not aware that she had called me. (She's that out of it.)

Sunday 08:48

I sent Daphne's email address to Annie by email. She may not notice it. ☹

The sliced cheese for my lunch sandwiches is in zip-close bags. ☺ (Everything in the ice chest needs to be waterproof.)

Sunday 14:42

It's raining. It was blowing like a big storm was coming, but it's just mild rain now.

It got the basket class. I didn't quite finish because we left for the rain. But it looks like an average basket.
I didn't need the old towel, which I forgot to take, and the instructor provided scissors (and a screwdriver, clothespins, a ruler, and a pencil).

Before the basket class, I took the car to parking. I may have left my bota in the car.

And I forgot to take the haversack (with my lunch) to class.

Sunday 15:36

I've been to parking and back. My bota was in the car. It's still raining, moderately.

On the contrary - judging period beverages involves a little background knowledge of period practices, knowledge of brewing itself, and an ability to evaluate the quality of the beverage even if you don't like the taste. In this class, we will review responsibilities of judges and stewards in a period brewing competition followed by actually evaluating two or three beverages. Moonday 01:09

The hot dogs were lunch. Chicken-noodle soup for dinner. 21:00? later?
Then jabbering.

Lots of possible classes tomorrow. The laptop charged while I slept after lunch. 60°F/15.6°C in the tent.

The car is parked on row 5. Row signs were not up when I parked, but were there when I went back looking for the bota. (The signs, of course, need to be in place before people park.) I had parked near some taller trees that will give the car shade later into the morning.
