So it looks like I'll be in Shanghai for the next year. I don't know how I feel about that yet. I picked up more business cards. Notable ones: Peter Luger, Ippudo, Lamarca, and Yaffa Cafe.

Ziggiz is sooo good. My Philly cheesesteak was fantastic: the bread was nice and toasty, fried onions are crisp, and the cheese was perfect - melty but not overly gooey, and the steak part = YUM. The burgers are pretty awesome too. Greasy fries? LOVE.

Saturday: went to Bouley. Walked to Tribeca, from where I am. It took over an hour. It was good though, I just can't believe I did it. Then had 7 courses. It was amaaaazing. WOW. I'm really writing some CRAP tonight. Have to write a personal essay on the police ridealong we went to on Tuesday for journalism. I got assigned the 28th precinct in Harlem. It was a fantastic assignment (there was an armed robbery, an illegal eviction, and a bunch of disturbance calls), but now I have to write about it and I'm just SUCKING. ( Read more... )

Friday: Visited the Dakota and Strawberry Fields memorial. Talked to an old friend until 3 a.m.

Saturday: Saw Chinoy, +friend, + pig. Dinner in K-Town at a Korean bbq restaurant, which was really good but just made me want steaks on a grill. Went to Pinkberry. Said good-bye to Chinoy and friend and pig.
